Since gaining their 501(c)3 status in July 2018, VetStrong has provided essential furniture to 140 San Antonio veterans in addition to heaters and cold weather items to 211 recipients during Operation Cold Front. This all-volunteer organization has established an incredible network with many other non- profit organizations supporting homeless veterans, and plays a major role in supporting activities to meet the many needs of our veterans. They are providing a much-needed services and ASMC can play a major role in helping them get a solid foundation for future growth and service.

For the 2019 Community Service Project, ASMC volunteers will be transported to the VetStrong storage warehouse furnished by the Elks Lodge in a collaborative event. We will assist in putting together Welcome Home Kits the Elks provide to VetStrong, and sort and organize clothing for the Veterans Clothing Closet which will be open to homeless veterans.
